Heartland Alliance advances the human rights and responds to the human needs of endangered populations - particularly the poor, the isolated, and the displaced - through the provision of comprehensive and respectful services and the promotion of permanent solutions leading to a more just global society.

Heartland Alliance is a leader in the asset building field with their development of the Wealth & Wellness curriculum. This curriculum is designed to provide financial education to individuals with limited literacy levels, low or fixed income and/or minimal financial management experience. The curriculum is utilized in their four asset builing programs across the City of Chicago, serving various populations; including refugees, Chicago Housing Authority residents, teenagers, and formerly homeless adults with disabilities. These programs include:

  • Imagine Dedicate Earn Achieve (IDEA) Initiative
  • Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS)
  • Meet Your Match (MYM)
  • Employer Partnership
